Not every spring break includes a suitcase — and around Roanoke, some of us are still working while the kids are suddenly home all week.

Between unpredictable weather and a break that doesn’t always line up with work schedules, the question quickly becomes: what are they going to do all day?

Luckily, local organizations step in every March with day camps designed exactly for this week. Some focus on outdoor adventure, others on creativity or STEM, and a few simply give kids a place to play and burn energy.
